West Lake Family Practice, P.A. will bill
immunizations to your insurance.
However, with certain immunizations we will require a cedit card number
on file in case the vaccine is not covered.
Medicare patients usually get their immunizations
fully covered if given at a local pharmacy. So be sure to check with the
pharmacy first.
What vaccines are affected?
Shingles (Zostavax, Varivax)
Meningitis (Menactra)
Hepatitis (Hepatitis A and B)
HPV (Gardasil)
Pertussis
Typhoid
Yellow Fever
Why has WLFP implemented
this policy?
Many plans
do not cover any adult immunizations, nor do they cover non-required
immunizations for children (such as the HPV vaccine) or for travel.
Many other
doctors'
offices in town have adopted similar policies, or they have opted to
not provide any immunizations at all.
