Cary D. Douglass, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1989. He has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since completing a family practice residency program in Middletown, CT in 1992. Dr. Douglass is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Family Practice, Texas Academy of Family Practice and Travis County Medical Society. A Texas native, he has been practicing in Austin since 1993. He and his wife, Amanda, have two boys, Will and Nick.

Brenna Gerdelman, M.D. joined Westlake Family Practice this year after serving Pflugerville for five years and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. After obtaining an undergraduate degree from Rice University, Dr. Gerdelman went on to graduate from medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2001. She then completed an OB/GYN internship in Nashville, Tn and her Family Medicine residency training here in Austin.  Dr. Gerdelman is married with two beautiful little girls.

Frances Killebrew, M.D. was also welcomed to Westlake Family Practice this year. Dr. Killebrew worked as Medical Director and staff physician at MayView Community Health center in Palo Alto, Ca for 15 years prior to moving to Austin in 2010. She received her undergraduate degree at Loyola University in 1974 and medical degree in 1978 at LSU school of Medicine. In 1992 Dr. Killebrew went back for specialty training at the Baylor Family Practice Program  and is now Board Certified in Family Medicine.

Jill Grimes, M.D. is Board Certified in Family Medicine as well and works part-time (Tuesdays and Fridays). An alumnus of Texas A&M, Dr. Grimes graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1991 and then went on to complete her Family Practice Residency here in Austin. Dr. Grimes has a new book out called “Seductive Delusions: How Everyday People Catch STDs” with publisher Johns Hopkins University Press.  Dr. Grimes, her husband and their two daughters enjoy snow skiing and Girl Scouts.
